Might I need a hearing aid?
I work in a call centre and while I can hear customers very well most times when there is background noise it can be a bit difficult. Do you think I need a hearing aid?
It is very normal to have difficulties hearing on the telephone when there is lots of noise in the background, no matter what type of environment you are in - work, home, social, etc. It can be particularly difficult in a large open-plan office with many other people also talking. That said, if you do have any concerns about your hearing, you should contact your GP in the first instance.
